EXOHOST team member Alexandra Lehtmets attended the European Astrobiology Network Association (EANA) 2024 Conference, held in Graz, Austria, and delivered a talk titled “Evaporated Atmosphere in the Interplanetary Medium of Early-Type Stars.”

In her presentation, Lehtmets discussed how intense ultraviolet radiation and powerful stellar winds from early-type stars can drive rapid atmospheric escape, shedding planetary atmospheres into the surrounding interplanetary medium. She highlighted modeling results, predicted observational signatures, and the implications such extreme environments have for the evolution and potential habitability of planets orbiting massive stars.

Alexandra Lehtmets’ contribution drew strong interest from attendees and underscored EXOHOST’s active role in advancing exoplanet and astrobiology research.
